The pelvic girdle is the body center. All our movements influence this central structure and the pelvic posture impacts all our movements. During 6hrs we will describe and understand the different structures, bones, ligaments and some of the muscles (there about 30 muscles connected directly to it!!). We will speak more in-depth of the SI joint and the pelvic floor and how they relate to yoga, pilates or movement practice. And of course, we will describe the hips and discover what a safe movement is….
All CPDs are designed to extend and develop anatomical and practical knowledge for both Yoga Teachers and those who would like to extend their own yoga practice by exploring how the body works. Pilates Teachers, Personal Trainers, Fitness and Health professionals may also find these days useful for personal and professional development. All days are practical and theory based. The curriculum focuses on human movement through exploration and application of experiential anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics on oneself and others, palpatory anatomy, mobilising models, drawing/colouring and exchanging with peers.
